Calling all procrastinators

This is my last break before I crack down on the books. Hey, it is! It totally is. The last. The very last.

Do you want a little window into how focused this student of a prestigious Peruvian University has been during her finals week?

Thought process:

7:00 Home sweet home. Traffic was horrible. Micro smelled worse than usual. I'll take 10 minutes to relax before homework. But then I really need to get things done.

9:00 Wow...it's getting late! Two hours doing....well, I can't remember anymore. Time to work. A quick check of the facebook, then time to work.

10:00 Oh my gosh, random-person-on-facebook-who's-also-in-my-class is right! That whole essay is due tomorrow. I haven't even started! Gonna be up late tonight....might as well watch this new youtube video quick...really quick...2 minutes.

11:00 Ugh...ok...must start. I hate writing these essays! Must start. Should I watch a movie online while I work? Bad idea. Inefficient. I wonder if there's any new ones?

2:00 Movie over, and I can't do this anymore! Oh hey, I have like 3 hours right before class tomorrow. Sleepy time.

Maybe you can relate? But seriously peeps. Study abroad procrastination takes it to a whole new level.

*In case the above explanation was just too many words.

You should ask me later if I worked diligently today. Really you should. There's nothing like accountability. And then my answer will probably be something like, "Well kiddos, the thing about that was..."

  2. I do this all the time. I plan to wake up early and write the essay or read the literature for the next lecture, but of curse I get up hours later that I've planned. Then I have to check out all the new blogs (usually including yours) and watch my favourite tv series. And then it's time for lunch... and so on and so on, you know the drill :)

I hope you managed to wrote the essay!

  4. Some of my best work came to me at 3 a.m. the night before it was due. Homework in advance was just never my thing. : )

  5. Well, this episode was the worst of my procrastinating, and it happened a few weeks ago. I did in fact get the essay done. I really am an under-pressure kind of worker. Definitely not a rusher.
